The year with the highest percentage of performers from Detroit was 2003, with a whopping 68.35%, with 2000 an extremely close second with 68.25%. Here’s the rest of the breakdown.
Year %Detroit
2003 68.35%
2000 68.25%
2005 62.37%
2008 48.94%
2001 47.37%
2002 44.12%
2004 36.07%
2009 35.62%
2007 33.73%
2006 33.67%
See anything telling about that last figure? More tomorrow. For now, behind the cut/after the jump find a list of artists who have played DEMF that I had trouble finding much information about for whatever reason.

It’s probably because my google-fu is weak, but if anybody knows the whereabouts of any of these folks, please let me know.

Electrofunk was Mr. De’s live band that played ghetto tech tracks live. shit was dope as hell, i think they played monday night in 04?
MD! + Bombscare are on Detroitluv, i think they’re down with the Paxacru hence their booking.
the rest of these, i have no idea about.
2003 was obviously the best one i’ve been to. jwan claims the first one was better, but i’m just not sure it’s possible. good posts! i’m going to link to them all at once when you have them all up.

Traxx is Melvin Oliphant III, a long-time DJ out of Chicago, runs his own label called Nation. Never really been sure who he’s affiliated with but has had acid tracks out as part of the Dirty Criminals on Gigolo, on Creme and more recently on M>O>S as X/X2.
