“This month at Delicious Records we are bringing you a special collaboration with Infinite State Machine (ISM). As many of you may know, ISM was one of the first underground dance music blogs to not just cover the popular dance music scene out in Europe but to really shine a light on the underground collectives releasing great music in Chicago, Detroit, Pittsburgh, NY and other US cities. Bursting onto the scene with Omar-S’ first ever interview in English (back in August ’07!) ISM was responsible in many ways for breaking several excellent new producers. Through the honest and passionate writing of contributors Tom, Frank, Gmos and Kenny, a new generation of artists such as Dam Funk, Kyle Hall and Patrice Scott [not to mention Lerosa and Juju & Jordash -ed.] were able to gain some much deserved global exposure. Always ahead of the next trend or fad, ISM has stayed 100% committed to its original goals of giving “props to the music and musicians who are so often overlooked in this day of trendy sub-subgenres (complete with their own haircut and drug of choice…)”. In 2009 ISM made the jump from online journalism to music production when Tom Pipecock founded Love What You Feel records and released Austin, Texas producer Disco Nihilist’s debut single. The record gained global fame for its unique retro acid house sound and had floors rocking to its vintage drum programming all over the world!

On Friday August 20th Frank and Tom from ISM will be joining [Bernardo aka DJ Bern] at Bistrouge to bust out some of our favorite disco and house jams. Please join us at this intimate venue for a special celebration of 3 years of ISM!

It’s really embarrassing that you listed Villalobos as confirmed booked for Movement 2010, only to announce on the eve of the festival that he won’t be playing.  What’s even worse is that of the thousands of artists you could have booked at the last minute, you chose instead to have Richie Hawtin play two sets.  I really don’t think I could be more irritated with your decision.  Still, I bought my ticket before I knew either of them were booked, I go to Detroit over Memorial Day Weekend not just for your techno fest, but for the after parties, to spend time with friends, and to shop at Detroit record stores.

In other words, you can have your double up plastikman.  I’ll be at one of the other stages anyway.
